The inspiration for this new work came from many discussions with John Jasperse. It was not to be a conventional dance piece. The performers needed to work in a collective group, but still needed to retain individuality. The basic uniform needed to have a utilitarian look. The choreography determined how the actors would perform, and thus how the costume needed to perform. The choreography also expanded on the esthetics from past performances that John had created. Sound, light, music and textures were the driving forces in the design of the costumes.
